Finance ministers of UAE, India explore fields of cooperation

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer met here on Monday with his Indian counterpart Jayant Sinha, to discuss opportunities for future cooperation between the two countries, state new agency WAM reported.

During their meeting, the UAE minister said the federal government of the UAE believes in the importance of providing favorable environment for Emirati investments across the world.

In 2013, the two countries signed an agreement to protect and promote investments.

There are over two million Indian nationals, also called non-resident Indians, living in the UAE, and the volume of trade between the UAE and India has reached 75 billion U.S. dollars in fiscal year 2012-2013. Endit
