Two police personnel were killed while one policeman was injured in a bomb attack in the southern Afghan province of Zabul on Monday, an official source said.

"A police unit was on routine patrol at Sangar Manda locality of Shahr-e-Safa district. It was struck by a roadside bomb attack at around 08:30 a.m. (local time), leaving two policemen killed and one injured," the district governor Malik Ali Mohammad told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Bomb Attack)

DHAKA) -- A special court in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka has given 10 years' imprisonment to seven former officials of a private commercial bank in a case of loan fraud.

The officials of the Oriental Bank, presently known as ICB Islamic Bank Limited, were also fined 19 million taka (243,589 U.S. dollars).

NEW DELHI -- At least 25 school children were injured, some seriously, in a road mishap in the western Indian state of Rajasthan on Monday, a senior police official said.

"The incident happened when a jeep in which the victims were traveling turned turtle near Malwa village in the state's Barmer district. The victims were all on their way to their school when the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle," he said, on condition of anonymity. (India-Road Mishap)

GYEONGJU, South Korea -- China, South Korea and Japan on Monday agreed to strengthen trilateral cooperation on water policy innovation during the 7th World Water Forum held in South Korea's southeastern cities of Daegu and Gyeongju.

The three countries held a trilateral ministerial meeting during the forum on Monday, bringing together China's Vice Minister of Water Resources Jiao Yong, South Korea's Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Yoo Il-ho and Japan's Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ohta Akihiro.
