A total of 22 Myanmar surviving sailors from a sunk Russian fishing trawler returned home by air on Sunday from Russia via South Korea, official media reported on Monday.
The bodies of the Myanmar sailors who died in the accident will be brought home on a chartered flight on Wednesday, the Myanmar Embassy to Russia was quoted as saying. (Myanmar-Survivors-Fishing Trawler)

TOKYO -- A group of scholars have gathered in Japan's Kyoto to criticize the country's concealing of wartime medical crimes including those committed by Unit 731, the Japanese army's biological warfare division during World War II, vowing to face up to the truth behind the atrocities.
Instead for being tried for war crimes, the researchers involved in the Unit 731 were given immunity in exchange for their data on human experimentation. "In some sense, it forms the source of Japan's medical crimes," Shoji Kondo, author for "Evidence of Unit 731 crimes" said Sunday. (Japan-War Atrocities)

ISLAMABAD -- A Saudi cabinet minister will open talks in Islamabad later Monday on the Yemen conflict days after Pakistan's parliament unanimously urged the government to maintain neutrality in the Saudi-led war on Shiite Houthis in Yemen.

NEW DELHI -- At least one Indian security personnel has been killed in yet another attack by left-wing Naxalite rebels in the central state of Chhattisgarh, a senior police officer said on Monday.
"The attack on the security forces happened in the state's Kanker district late last night while troops of the Border Security Force were on patrolling duty.
