Longest runway fashion show held on Singapore's Orchard Road

Xinhua, April 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Fashion lovers and tourists have enjoyed an open-air fashion show on Singapore's iconic commercial street Orchard Road on Saturday. It is also the longest runway, with a record of 176 models strutting down the 550-meter long street.

This is the sixth edition of "Fashion Steps Out at Orchard", and is part of the six-week long fashion extravaganza from April 10 to May 24.

The fashion show raised its curtain with the launch of the latest Samsung Galaxy S6 products. After that, over 170 models donning the latest designs from 13 brands walked the longest runway, attracting thousands of visitors.

This year's event also features the SG50 elements in celebration for Singapore's 50th anniversary.

"With 2015 marking Singapore's Jubilee year, Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) has rounded up some of our nations most celebrated designers and created a visionary SG Next50 collection," said Mark Shaw, Chairman of ORBA.

"ORBA remains committed to making fashion accessible to all, and our six-week long fashion extravaganza will offer something for every visitor to Orchard Road," he added. Endi
