Nigeria to improve in spite of 8-0 win against Mali: coach

Xinhua, April 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's women's soccer team can still be better in spite of Friday's massive victory over the Mali, the coach said.

Edwin Okon told a news conference on Friday in Abuja that the team was still in construction in spite of beating the Malian side 8-0.

The Falcons beat their opponents to qualify on a 9-1 aggregate for the 2015 All-Africa Games (AAG).

The second leg match in the final round qualifier was played at the Abuja National Stadium, and the Nigerian side had on March 21 drawn 1-1 with the Malians in Bamako.

He assured that the team could face any team at the AAG in Congo-Brazzaville in September after more preparation.

"The most important aspect of the match is to qualify. We will surely fine-tune before the tournament," Okon said. Endit
