Suspected killer captured in Georgia

Xinhua, April 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs on Friday officially confirmed the detention of Shalva Abuladze, the main suspect in two police officers' murder last week in Tbilisi.

The suspect, one of the most deadly killers in Georgia's history, was captured in a special operation in the settlement of Ardagani, Borjomi of Central Georgia early Friday, the ministry said in a news briefing.

Two pistols and a bomb were seized from the house where Abuladze hid.

Abuladze was transferring from Borjomi to Tbilisi by helicopter, according to the ministry.

Earlier this month, Abuladze was charged with killing two policemen and wounding several others. The Ministry of Internal Affairs had issued public warning and wanted orders across Georgia last week. Endi
