French stock market index down 0.28 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.28 percent at 5,136.86 points on Wednesday, down 14.33 points.

The CAC 40 closed slightly lower on Wednesday with 23 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

Wednesday's top three gainers were LVMH, up 1.18 percent, Renault, up 0.95 percent, and BNP Paribas, up 0.86 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Wednesday were Schneider Electric, down 3.16 percent, Peugeot, down 2.14 percent, and Total, down 1.14 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.52 percent at 5,151.19 points, up 77.05 points. Endit
