Russian leader pays official visit to Thailand

Xinhua, April 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is paying an official visit to Thailand until Wednesday, said a senior Thai government official on Tuesday.

The Russian prime minister will meet with his Thai counterpart Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha alongside other high-level Thai government officials on Wednesday, Thai government spokesman Yongyut Mayalarp said.

Topics of common interests will be discussed while agreements on bilateral trade, investment and others will be signed at the Government House.

Both sides will discuss matters related to national security and political affairs, among other issues, the Thai spokesman said without elaborating.

Medvedev's trip to Thailand marks the first official visit by a Russian leader to the Southeast Asian state in 25 years, he added. Endi
