The al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front group has kidnapped as many as 300 Syrian Kurds in the northwestern province of Idlib, the pan-Arab al-Mayadeen TV reported Monday.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's new National Election Committee (NEC) will be officially formed next Monday after the ruling and opposition parties have agreed on the members of this new independent body, opposition leader Sam Rainsy said Monday.

ANKARA -- At least six people were dead and five others went missing on Monday when a boat with illegal migrants sank in western Turkey, private Dogan news agency reported.

SHARAN, Afghanistan -- A Haqqani militant group's local leader has been killed in eastern Afghan province of Paktika, the provincial government said in a statement on Monday.
