China's Chen Long crowned in Malaysia Open 2015

Xinhua, April 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

World top ranked shuttler and top seed Chen Long was crowned in the Malaysia Open 2015 here on Sunday, after defeating Chinese teammate and five-time world champion Lin Dan in the men's singles final.

In the first game, Lin scored a hard victory by 22-20. However, due to a series of mistakes of Lin and an accelerated pace of Chen, Chen won the next two games by 21-13 and 21-11.

Lin said at the press conference that he felt unsatisfied about his performance in the second half of the second game and the third game.

"I made too many mistakes," he said.

Lin said that he would come back next year as the Malaysia Open is the only Premier Superseries title missing from his collection of trophies.

Chen said he was happy about the win, adding that he still needed to learn from the top players such as Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei. Endi
