Benfica beats Nacinal 3-1 in Portuguese league

Benfica beat Nacional 3-1 on Saturday in the 27th round of the Portuguese soccer league at Luz Stadium in capital Lisbon.

Brasilian Jonas opened the scoring in the 20th minute following a cross by Argintina Salvio from the right flank and he scored again in the 58th minute following a pass by the same player.

Brasilian forward Lima scored in the 30th minute with a header, which gave Benfica a 2-0 lead in the first half.

Nacional's Portuguese midfielder Tiago Rodrigues scored the only face-saving goal in the 73rd with a powerful shooting.

With the victory Benfica continues to top the league with 68 points, while Nacional stands ninth with 33 points.

Also on Saturday, Penafiel and Boavista drew 2-2, Belenenses beat Moreirense 2-0, P.Ferriera tied Sporting 1-1. Endi
