1st LD: Helicopter crash kills 6 in Malaysia

At least six people including VIPs were reportedly killed in a civilian helicopter crash on Saturday in the southeastern suburbs of Kuala Lumpur.

Witnesses said at least two burnt bodies have been recovered at the crash site in Jalan Sg Lalang in the Kajang district, about 40 km southeast of Kuala Lumpur.

A distress call was received by the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department at about 5:00 p.m. (0900 GMT) and over 20 firemen have deployed to assist in the search.

Department of Civil Aviation Director-General Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said the number of people on board has yet to be ascertained. Endi
