Cold, fickle weather forecast in Austria over Easter

Xinhua, April 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Easter weekend in Austria is to be marked by cold and changeable weather with snow also possible in some regions, the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) stated Thursday.

The ZAMG said it expects temperatures to be about 5 degrees Celsius cooler than average over the Easter weekend, and for conditions across most of the country to change back and forth between sunny, cloudy, snowy, and rainy.

Thomas Kennert from the weather institute said temperatures are expected to average between 3 and 10 degrees Celsius, and for nights to bring frost.

ZAMG expects no improvement in weather in Austria for the entirety of the coming week. Endit
