Africa Junior Squash Championships progressing in Botswana

The 2015 All Africa under-19 Junior Squash Championships have progressed closer to the final stages in Botswana capital Gaborone.
The four-day tournament that has attracted five African countries started on Tuesday and the finals will be played on Friday.
Top ranked Egypt have dominated the proceedings since the first day of the tournament when they walloped the hosts 3-0 in the opening match. They went on to beat South Africa 3-0 on Wednesday and look sharp to be crowned overall champions when the tournament ends on Friday.
The tournament, played in a round robin format sees Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa and Egypt battling it out for top honors in the continent. Kenya could not make it to the tournament as they could not process their travel visas on time. Meanwhile South Africa beaten their Zimbabwean counterparts 3-0 in another match on Tuesday before Zimbabwe beat Namibia 2-1.
Botswana found themselves at the receiving end of another 3-0 loss to South Africa in their second match of the competition. The hosts registered their first victory, a 2-1 win over Zimbabwe on Wednesday to give the local fans something to cheer about. South Africa then beat Zimbabwe 2-1 before Namibia beat Botswana 3-0 to end the day.
The teams are scheduled to start playing semifinal matches on Thursday afternoon with the finals slated for Friday.
