Asian record holder Wang Zheng achieves world leading throw

Asian record holder Wang Zheng made a world leading throw of 74.92 meters to win the women's hammer title at the Chinese National Throwing Series here on Wednesday.

The winning throw of Wang, the reigning Asian Games champion, was 2.76m shy of her Asian record set at the same event last year. It also means that Wang has reached the 70.00m entry standard for the 2015 IAAF World Championships slated for Aug. 22 to 30 in Beijing.

The runner-up Liu Tingting from Liaoning Province has also qualified for the worlds with a throw of 70.18m. Endi
