The United States stands ready to welcome the China-proposed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said Tuesday, just after his two-day visit to Beijing.
"We have made clear to China that the United States stands ready to welcome new additions to the international development architecture, including the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, provided that these institutions complement existing international financial institutions and that they share the international community's strong commitment to genuine multilateral decision making and ever-improving lending standards and safeguards," Lew said in a speech at the Asia Society Northern California. RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday that the land military operations against Houthis in Yemen aren't required now, as the militia supplies have been cut off, Al Arabiya news reported.
