No British soccer teams at Rio Olympic Games

Xinhua, March 31, 2015 Adjust font size:

There will be no British soccer teams at next year's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro after the English Football Association failed to reach agreement on united teams with the country's other associations, according to the BBC on Monday.

The FA has hoped to send both men's and women's teams to Rio but came up short in convincing the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish soccer associations.

Britain sent men's and women's teams to the London Olympics in 2012, with both teams reaching the quarterfinals. Endi
