Susilo, Aziz elected members of BFA Board of Directors

Former President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz were elected members of the Board of Directors of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), Zhou Wenzhong, secretary-general of the BFA said at the closing ceremony here on Sunday.

Three other new members were elected alongside Susilo and Aziz, including Jenny Shipley, former Primer Minister of New Zealand, Sathirathai Surakiart, former vice Prime Minister of Thailand, and Mao Chaofeng, executive vice governor of south China's Hainan Province.

The 14th BFA annual conference closed on Sunday in Hainan. This year's conference attracted 1,772 delegates from Asia and other parts of the world.

A non-governmental and non-profit international organization founded in 2001, the BFA is committed to promoting regional economic integration and bringing Asian countries closer to their development goals. Endi
