No suicide note was found in the Germanwings' co-pilot's home, but a torn sick-leave note prescribed by doctors was found, Duesseldorf prosecutors announced on Friday.

Prosecutors have finished the search of the co-pilot's home, and it has not led to discovery of a so-called farewell or remorse letter. Nor is there evidence of a political or religious background of the event, according to the written announcement.

But documents with medical contents were seized. In the documents, there are indications of an existing disease and appropriate medical treatment, the announcement added.

Prosecutors said that the sick-leave note is torn but actual, and the unlucky day is also included in the note.
