Visiting President of Ivory Coast Alassane Vattar Thursday called on Turkish businessmen for investment opportunities in his country's infrastructure projects.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Turkish capital of Ankara, Vattar stressed that mining and construction projects are promising in his country.

Two countries have signed eight agreements for cooperation on education, sports, tourism, diplomatic services, culture, and military training during the press conference.

President Erdogan, for his part, said that they aim to increase bilateral trade volume, which is 320 million U.S. dollars at the moment, and investors from two countries will hold a business forum on Friday.

Both leaders condemned killings by Boko Haram, a terrorist movement which have pledged formal allegiance to the Islamic State group in March, stressing necessity of security in the region for development and prosperity. Endit
