30 militants killed in army's air raid in NW Pakistan

At least 30 militants were killed when Pakistani military conducted an air raid in the country's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency on Wednesday, an army statement said.
Inter-Services Public Relations, the mouthpiece of Pakistani army, said in a statement that the army jet fighters pounded several hideouts of suspected militants in Tirah Valley area of Khyber Agency, a semi-autonomous tribal area along Pakistan- Afghanistan border.
Two ammunition depots of army were also destroyed in the airstrikes launched by the army jets, said the report.
Local media reports said that a spokesman of the banned Lashkar- i-Islam (LI) militant organization, Salahuddin Ayubi, also got killed in the strikes.
Khyber Agency is home to various banned outfits with LI and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as two major militant organizations.
Pakistani army is currently carrying out operation "Khyber 2" in Tirah Valley to evacuate the area from the LI and TTP militants. Endi
