Indian stocks close lower

Indian stocks closed lower on Monday for fourth straight session with Reliance Industries Ltd ( RIL) declining the most in a week to counter gains for NTPC Ltd.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 28,192.02, 69.06 points or 0.24 percent down from previous close of 28,261.08.

Since the beginning of this year, the Sensex has gained 4 percent, while foreign institutional investors have bought 5.47 billion U.S. dollars from local equity and 6.38 billion dollars from bond markets. Endi
