Singapore stocks close 0.07 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.31 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 3,410.13.

A total of 950.4 million shares changed hands with turnover of 957.6 million Singapore dollars (699 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 218 to 186, while 475 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 26.28 points, or 0.78 percent, to close at 3,412.44 on Friday. Endi
