Air China to increase capacity to U.S. cities from May

Air China, the country's flag carrier, has announced they will increase the number of flights to the United States beginning in May.

A Boeing 747-8 will be in operation between Beijing and San Francisco starting on May 1, providing 17.7 percent more seats compared with the previous Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The carrier will have three daily flights between Beijing and Los Angeles by May 2, an increase from the current two.

The new CA 887 flight will take off from Beijing at 12:00 every day and reach LA at 09:00 local time, while the returning flight CA 888 takes off from LA at 11:30 and reaches Beijing at 15:10 the next day.

Air China flies to seven destinations in North America with 60 flights weekly, including New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., San Francisco. Houston, Hawaii and Vancouver. Endi
