KUNDUZ, Afghanistan -- Three persons were killed and three others including two children injured as a bomb blast rocked Kunduz city, the capital of Kunduz province 250 km north of Kabul on Saturday, provincial government spokesman Abdul Wasi Basil said.
"The blast took place at 11:50 a.m. (local time) against the car of the police chief of Chardara district in the second precinct of Kunduz city, killing three persons including a police constable and injuring three others including two children," Basil told reporters here. (Afghanistan-Blast)

SEOUL -- The foreign ministers of South Korea, Japan and China agreed on Saturday to continue to develop trilateral cooperation mechanism as an important framework of cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity in Northeast Asia.
In a joint press release issued after a trilateral meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, his South Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se and Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida expressed their hope that the meeting will see the beginning of a restoration process of trilateral cooperation mechanism. SEOUL -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Saturday urged Japan to face its wartime history squarely and handle the historical issues properly so as to pave the way for the smooth development of bilateral ties.
