Friday's solar eclipse also meant a significant reduction of the volume of energy transferred onto the Earth's surface, reported by local news agency on late Friday.

As revealed by spokesperson of the Slovak Hydrometeorologic Institute (SHMU) Ivan Garcar, the institute measured the difference in the levels of direct solar radiation between Wednesday and Friday at approximately 63 percent in Slovakia.
