Vietnamese team leaves for Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers

Vietnam's national beach soccer team will leave for Qatar on Friday night to play the Asian elimination round of the upcoming 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

According to team coach Dang Quoc Hung, after one month's gathering at Nha Trang city in south central coastal Khanh Hoa province, Vietnamese players "have shown positive progress".

In 2014, the Vietnamese team ranks 31st globally, and fourth regionally.

The Asian elimination round will take place in Qatar from March 23 to 28 with the participation of 15 teams divided into four groups. Vietnam is included in Group B together with Japan, China and Kuwait.

Vietnam will play China at the first match scheduled on March 23.

The global tournament will be held in Praia da Baia of Portugal, from July 9 to 19. Endi
