CeBIT pavilion featuring Chinese IT companies opens to visitors

A central pavilion featuring Chinese IT companies at CeBIT opened to visitors on Monday.

Visiting Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai and German Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel attended the opening ceremony of the central pavilion and visited some of the exhibition booths of Chinese and German companies.

China is the official partner country of CeBIT 2015, a leading global trade fair for information and communication technology. More than 760 Chinese companies attended the fair with high-tech firms such as Huawei, ZTE, Alibaba, Xiaomi to name a few, showcasing their latest products and solutions.

CeBIT will continue till March 20. More than 3,400 companies from some 70 countries and regions are expected to showcase thousands of innovations from the digital world.

Earlier on Sunday, the fair's chief Oliver Frese said in a press conference that China would show its IT power via the exhibition and present "the strongest partner country presentation we've ever seen at CeBIT." Endit
