Turkish FM says IS should be rooted out

Visiting Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said here on Monday that the IS (Islamic State) group is a brutal terror organization, which should be eradicated.

"ISIS is not representing Islam. It is a brutal terror organization and there are some other terror organizations in Syria and Iraq," he told a joint press conference here after a meeting with Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong.

"We need to eradicate terror organizations as well as the root cause of the terrorism and the root cause of foreign fighters coming from more than 85 countries all over the world," he said.

Hor Namhong said Cambodia strongly condemned the IS group for its brutal acts.
