Police visit office of Indian Congress vice president

Xinhua, March 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

Police in the Indian capital have visited the office of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on a "routine security survey", triggering protest from the Congress, local media reported on Saturday.

A Delhi Police team visited the office of Congress heir apparent Rahul Gandhi to make queries about his physical features.

Congress sources said the policemen came calling at Rahul's office last week. They are said to have asked about his looks, including the color of his eyes and his hair.

Congress party officials are angry over the "intrusive visit". They are also intrigued over the motive behind such an " unnecessary" investigation, according to media reports.

The incident took place at the time when former Prime Minister Manhoman Singh was accused of corruption. Endi
