Indian stocks fall 1.48 pct on Friday

Indian stocks benchmark Sensex bled on Friday, weighed down by banking stocks after data showed that consumer inflation has edged up.

The 30-share index closed at 28,503.30, 427.11 points or 1.48 percent down from previous close of 28,930.41.

On a weekly basis, the benchmark index recorded a fall of 945 points or 3.2 percent from its closing value of 29448.95 recorded on 5 March. Endi
