Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.70 percent to finish at 3, 372.91 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index went up 0.67 percent to close at 11,713.61 points.

SYDNEY -- The Australian share market dropped lower on Friday driven down by financials and resource stocks.
At the official market close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 35.7 points, or 0.61 percent, at 5814.5, while the broader All Ordinaries index fell 28 points, or 0.48 percent, to 5788.

HONG KONG -- Taiwan's share prices closed down 0.17 percent Friday with the weighted index down 16.65 points at 9,579.35, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 85.49 billion new Taiwan dollars (2.71 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.

SEOUL -- Seoul shares ended higher on Friday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) climbed 15.2 points, or 0.77 percent, to 1,985.79 at the close. Trade volume stood at 322.56 million shares worth 4.25 trillion won (3. 76 billion U.S. dollars).

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks moved up 25.25 points, or 0.11 percent, to close on Friday at 23,823.21 points.

HO CHI MINH CITY -- VN-Index, the stock market index of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City bourse in south Vietnam, closed at 586.1 points on Friday, down 2.43 points, or 0.41 percent, against the previous trading day's closing session.
About 97.281 million shares worth 1.596 trillion Vietnamese dong (VND) (74.42 million U.S. dollars) changed hands at the southern HCM City Stock Exchange. Prices of 95 stocks went up, 75 stocks fell down, while 116 stocks remained unchanged.

HANOI -- Stock market index of Vietnam's capital Hanoi, HNX- Index, closed at 85.72 points on Friday, down 0.15 points, or 0.17 percent, against the previous trading session.
A total of 30.918 million shares worth 424.317 billion Vietnamese dong (19.87 million U.S. dollars) were traded at the Hanoi Stock Exchange on Friday, an increase of 1.62 percent in volume and a decrease of 3.36 percent in value against the previous trading session.
