Trellez fires Libertad to victory over Estudiantes

A second-half goal from Colombian striker Santiago Trellez gave Libertad a 1-0 victory over Argentina's Estudiantes in their Copa Libertadores group match on Thursday.

Trellez ran on to Osmar Molinas' floated pass before firing a low shot past Agustin Silva with the outside of his boot.

The result lifted the Paraguayan side to the top of Group 7 with seven points from three matches while Estudiantes are third with four points.

In Thursday's only other match River Plate drew 1-1 with Peru's Juan Aurich in Chiclayo.

Hernan Rengifo equalized for the hosts after Eder Balanta gave the Argentine outfit a first-half lead.

Juan Aurich are now second in Group 6 with four points while River Plate are last with two points. Endi
