Vietnam Expo 2015 to be held in Hanoi

Some 600 international and domestic companies are expected to join the 25th Vietnam International Trade Fair, or Vietnam Expo 2015, held here on April 15-18, according to Vietnam Industry and Trade Information Center (VITIC) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on Friday.

The expo under the theme "Enhancing cooperation in ASEAN ( Association of Southeast Asian Nation) economic community" is forecast to draw around 720 companies from 26 countries and regions, including China, China's Taiwan, Japan, and the United States among others.

Booths at the event will showcase various products, ranging from machines, equipments, electronics accessories to home appliances and healthcare products, while the Vietnamese booths will display the country's key export items such as oil and gas, rubber, paper, food-agricultural products, handicrafts, and home appliances among others, Bao Moi online newspaper quoted VITIC as reporting on Friday.

According to the organizers, via the fair, Vietnamese companies will have chances to promote products, meet with foreign partners, and expand new markets, while international companies will be able to learn about Vietnamese market, exchange views on investment opportunities and technology transferring.
