Xinhua, March 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will pay official visits to Australia and New Zealand in March 2015, at the invitation of his Australian and New Zealand counterparts, according to a press release by Vietnam's foreign ministry on Friday.

Accordingly, Dung will visit Australia on March 17-18 and New Zealand on March 19-20.

Vietnam has enjoyed comprehensive partnerships with Australia and New Zealand, which are further developing in many areas, reported Vietnam Plus, an online edition of the state-run news agency VNA on Friday.

The upcoming tour by Dung is expected to open new cooperation prospects between Vietnam and two Oceanian countries.

The Vietnamese community is one of the largest ethnic groups in Australia, with approximately 300,000 Vietnamese, showed statistics by Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Vietnam and Australia established diplomatic ties in 1973. According to Vietnam Customs, in 2014, Vietnam-Australia bilateral trade revenue reached 6.05 billion U.S. dollars.

Meanwhile, Vietnam and New Zealand will hold various commemorative activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties in 2015, reported Vietnam Plus. Endi
