Xinhua, March 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Singapore's Changi Airport has been ranked as the world's best airport for the third consecutive year, the airport said on Thursday.

It is the 5th time that Changi Airport has been given the title at the World Airport Awards. The award polled 13.02 million air travelers from 112 countries and regions, and covers a total of 550 airports.

The survey is based on 39 performance indicators including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, through to departure at the gate, it said.

"We are excited about Changi Airport's future as we expand to serve an increasing number of passengers. However, we will not forget to continue to delight our passengers through our focus on service excellence and spirit of innovation," said Lee Seow Hiang, Chief Executive Officer of Changi Airport Group.

South Korea's Incheon International Airport ranks the second, followed by Germany's Munich Airport and Hong Kong International Airport. Beijing Capital International Airport takes the 10th place in this years award. Endi
