On-loan striker Daniel Osvaldo scored twice as six-time champions Boca Juniors defeated Zamora 5-0 in their Copa Libertadores group match on Wednesday.
The Italy international, on loan from Southampton, struck from close range after Federico Carrizo's headed cross. He then converted a penalty nine minutes from time after he was brought down by Alvaro Forero.
Earlier, Marcelo Meli, Nicolas Lodeiro and Federico Carrizo hit the target as the hosts effectively ended the match at halftime.
The result at the Bombonera lifts the Argentine outfit three points clear at the top of Group 5 with three wins from as many matches. Venezuela's Zamora are last, having yet to secure a point.
After the match Osvaldo bemoaned a series of missed scoring chances in the first half.
"We played a fantastic game but with all the goals that I missed I'm surprised that I've been named man of the match," the forward said.
In other matches on Wednesday, Mexico's Tigres won 1-0 against Bolivia's San Jose and Colombia's Atletico Nacional beat Ecuador's Barcelona 2-1. Endi
