New KMT chairman welcome to visit mainland: spokeswoman

A Chinese mainland spokeswoman said on Tuesday that the mainland welcomes Eric Chu, the newly elected chairman of the Kuomintang party in Taiwan, to visit the mainland at a convenient time.

Fan Liqing, spokeswoman with the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the remarks in response to a question on Chu's recent speech regarding cross-Strait exchanges. Endi
