Support rate for Abe's Cabinet down 8 points

Support rate for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Cabinet declined 8 percentage points from the previous reading to 46 percent, while support rate for the ruling Liberal Democratic Party also dropped 4.5 percentage points to 36. 7 percent, Japan's public broadcaster NHK reported Monday.
NHK said in the latest survey said that disapproval rate for the government increased to 37 percent.
It added that only 14 percent of the cabinet supporters have expectation for the government policies.
As to the economic policies dubbed "Abenomics," over 53 percent respondents said they did not feel economy recovery and only 10 percent said the world's third largest economy is recovering.
On the legislation related to collective self-defense right, only 22 percent respondents support the government mover, while over 50 percent said they are not aware of the negotiations between the government and the ruling bloc over the security legislation issue.
The survey said that those who support that the wording of " aggression" and "colonial rule" should be in Abe's new war anniversary statement due this summer are twice those who oppose the expressions, while about 40 percent of respondents avoid to answer the question. Endi
