One Afghan soldier was injured as a roadside bomb struck a military vehicle in Koz Kunar district of the eastern Nangarhar province on Monday, a spokesman for the provincial government said.

Locals said the violent incident happened at around 10:00 a.m. local time (0530 GMT) when an army vehicle was passing the area.
