The landslide occurred on Saturday night in Santana do Parnaiba, in the metropolitan region of the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo ( southeast), when the three brothers aged between 7 and 13 were sleeping with their mother at home.

The mother, Carola Rodrigues, and one of the boys were rescued alive by firefighters and sent to Santa Ana Hospital. But the boy died later in the hospital.

According to the fire fighters, the bodies of the other two children were found on early Sunday morning.
