China-Thailand expo planned in Bangkok

Xinhua, March 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

The organizers of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) will stage a trade fair in Bangkok, Thailand, from April 2 to 4, in an effort to strengthen ties between China and the ASEAN country, authorities said on Sunday.

It will be the first time that the CAEXPO secretariat has held an event outside China. The fair, jointly held by the secretariat and the commerce department of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will aim to attract companies and products from both China and Thailand.

Secretariat officials said the fair will help Chinese companies explore the ASEAN market. They plan to organize fairs in other ASEAN countries in the future.

2015 is the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand. Thailand will be the country of honor at this year's expo, which will be held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, from September 18 to 21. Endi
