Porto beats Braga 1-0 in Portuguese league

Xinhua, March 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Porto beat Braga 1-0 on Saturday night in the 24th round of the Portuguese soccer league, at the Municipal Stadium in northern Portuguese district Braga.

Spanish forward Cristian Tello scored in the 72nd following a pass by Cameroon forward Vincent Aboubakar, with his effort flying through in between goalkeeper Matheus Magalhaes' legs.

Both teams were weak in the first half, with the best scoring chance happening in the 7th minute when Braga forward Ze luis' effort went wide.

Porto stands second in the Portuguese league with 58 points, just a point behind league-leaders Benfica which has not started playing in this round, while Braga stands fourth with 46.

Tello scored a hat-trick to help FC Porto beat Sporting 3-0 last Sunday in the 23rd round of the Portuguese league. Enditem
