(Sports) Pakistan's snooker players to get training in China

Xinhua, March 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Pakistan's three snooker players will go to China to attend a one-month training and coaching course at the World Snooker Academy in Beijing, officials said.

The secretary of the Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association, Munawwar Sheikh, said Pakistan's three players - Asjad Iqbal, Hamza Akbar and Muhammad Majid Ali - will depart for China later this month to participate in the course at the CBSA Training Base - CBSA World Snooker Academy.

Sheikh said the one-month long course was scheduled to take place from March 7 to April 7, but it had been delayed now for two weeks.

The official said they are happy to have a chance to send some players to get extra ordinary training abroad that can help them in their careers.

Hamza Akbar is Pakistan's emerging snooker player who recently participated in the 2014 International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Championship in India, where he had some impressive games. Endi
