Argentina has Davis Cup edge, says Brazil captain

Xinhua, March 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Argentina has a slight edge in its Davis Cup World Group first-round tie against Brazil starting Friday, according to the visitors' captain Joao Zwetsch.

"They have an advantage by playing at home," Zwetsch said during a press conference on Thursday.

"But all five points will be highly disputed, there is no clear favoritism in any of the [rubbers]."

Brazil's Joao Souza, ranked 75th in the world, will take on Carlos Berlocq (67) in Friday's opening match at the Tecnopolis complex in Buenos Aires.

Argentina's world No. 29 Leonardo Mayer will then meet Thomaz Bellucci (87).

In Saturday's doubles, Brazil pair Bruno Soares and Marcelo Melo are likely confront Federico Delbonis and Diego Schwartzman before Sunday's reverse singles. Endi
