Poland, Ukraine discuss military cooperation in Warsaw

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and Oleksandr Turchynov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine held a meeting here on Thursday, according to the Polish National Security Bureau.

The main issues discussed were the situation in eastern Ukraine and bilateral military cooperation.

The discussion concerned the cooperation between the two countries in the security field, including adjusting the Ukrainian military forces to the NATO standards.

The Polish side confirmed its will to conduct trainings for the Ukrainian non-commissioned officers and specialists.

The fields of cooperation will cover strategic planning, conducting strategic inspections of security and defense conditions, and developing strategic concepts and documents.
