Indian stocks close higher

India's benchmark S&P BSE Sensex ended higher after a volatile day on Thursday.

Investors are likely to remain cautious ahead of a long weekend. The markets are closed on Friday for Holi, followed by the regular weekend holidays.

The 30-share index closed at 29,448.95, 68.22 points or 0.23 percent up from previous close of 29,380.73 points. Endi
