Xinhua, March 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnamese vice president Nguyen Thi Doan will pay an official visit to Myanmar on March 9 to 13 on the invitation of her Myanmar counterpart U Nyan Tun, announced Pham Thu Hang, vice spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The visit aims to seek measures to further enhance traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between Vietnam and Myanmar as the two countries are celebrating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties establishment in 2015," claimed Hang at a regular press briefing held in capital Hanoi on Thursday.

During the visit, Doan is scheduled to hold talks with U Nyan Tun, pay a courtesy call on Myanmar President U Thein Sein, Chairperson of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and meet with Yangon Region Chief Minister.

She will also visit headquarters of the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Myanmar and a number of economic and cultural facilities in Yangon, said Hang. Endi
