French stock market index up 0.99 pct on Wed.

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained 0.99 percent to close at 4,917.35 points on Wednesday, up 48.1 points from Tuesday.

The CAC 40 closed higher on Wednesday with 32 of the 40 selected companies gaining.

Wednesday's top three gainers were Renault, up 2.23 percent, Valeo, up 2.19 percent, and Airbus Group, up 2.02 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Wednesday were EDF, Technip, and ArcelorMittal, which lost 2.79 percent, 1.00 percent, and 0.97 percent, respectively.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.98 percent to close at 4,869.25 points, down 48.07 points from the previous trading day. Enditem
