Vietnamese women's national football team hires Japanese coach Aksi

Vietnamese women's national football team has hired a new coach ahead of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Women's Championship in May, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced on Wednesday.

Norimatsu Aksi from Japan, born in 1968, signed a two-year contract with VFF on Wednesday to lead the country's female squad, said VFF on its website.

The Japanese coach will begin his job by seeking players for the national squad which is set to be gathered in mid-April.

Aksi, who has never led a female squad before, used to work with U13, U15 and U21 teams of Japan. He was introduced by Japanese Football Association. Endi
